Workshop Description:
In this abstract painting workshop we will be focusing on discernment and how to calm down a busy picture using value and design. We will have fun playing on a series of boards, using our intuition, adding layer after layer, excavating and editing and coming away with 5-6 finished pieces.

Scott's Blue Shop Paper Towels (for making wet palette)
Two 12x16 cafe trays (for making wet palette)
11x14 Tracing Paper (for making wet palette)
Flat Nylon brushes between 1-3 inches and assortment of smaller nylon brushes--flats and rounds
Acrylic Paint (I prefer Liquitex Soft Body Paint and not "Fluid" paints which are too runny.) Whatever colors you have
- as well as:
• Black (Mars or Carbon black)
• Titanium white
• Yellow Ochre
• Cadmium Red Light or Medium or Dark
Acrylic GLOSS medium
Scissors
Ruler
Strathmore Gray Scale 9x12 paper pad
Pencil
Water bucket
