Sunshine's Gardens
There are two entrances to Sunshine's Gardens, from the west and the east. When you enter from the east you will first see her beautiful rose garden, then follow a path that enters her studio to the left, or open a gate straight ahead, and enter the magical place called Caspar Gardens, with its lush grounds and Japanese bridge.
The sound of children playing at the preschool next door is one of her joys. You can see it in her work. Sunshine is included in our "Garden Tour Poster Artists Retrospective," that will be up the month of June. She was our poster artist for 2006. She was also the poster artist for "Winesong!" in 2005, and in 1998, she was the poster artist for "Art in the Gardens."
Her husband and dance partner, who retired recently, fills his extra time on the maintenance of the gardens and buildings on the property, and it shows. When they can find time to be away, they love to go to Spain.

This year the Garden Tour will be held on Mendocino's popular 2nd Saturday when art galleries in town hold artist receptions. Continue your great day of entertainment at the Mendocino Art Center, 5 pm to 8 pm. Hobnob with the exhibiting artists, nibble snacks, sip wine, and view the new gallery exhibits!
