Sue's Garden & Studio
For the past 30 years we've shared our property with up to four dogs, so we learned not to take our lawn too seriously. We used to only grow flowers, but last year we decided to grow vegetables too. We were stimulated by two large old growth logs we had on our property that we had milled up into lumber we used for our planter boxes, posts, rails, and gates.
Our dogs are not allowed in our vegetable garden. I have always been a gatherer and I am constantly on the look out for compost material, manure, and chips for the garden. This year I found some old pickets that we planted and used to rebuild the fencing around one of our flower gardens. During the summer, I offer classes in how to carve a water bowl from cement and make a mosaic "tripping stone. "We spend an enjoyable day in the garden, and you get to bring home two pieces of garden art!
Come and enjoy our gardens. We love to share, so if you find something you can't live without, ask us and we'll give you a cutting, so you can take some of our garden home with you!
