The 2009 Garden Tour is a fundraising benefit for the Mendocino Art Center.

Celebrate the Mendocino Art Center's 50th anniversary with your ticket to an enjoyable day touring Mendocino Coast artists' beautiful gardens and art studios and one artist's fabulous Victorian home

In the artists' studios you will view ceramics, contemporary collage, painting, etching, glass etching, jewelry, textiles, wood sculpture, mixed media, hand made books, garden art, and a wildlife studio with an aviary.

Mendocino Art Center
The Art Center will open at 9:30 am.

Garden Shop
On June 13, 10 am – 5 pm, browse the Mendocino Art Center's Garden Shop, featuring a special sale on Mendocino Maples' gorgeous Japanese maples, Descanso Nurseries' beautiful hydrangeas and many other surprises!

Boxed Lunch
Artists Evie Wilson, Maureen O'Hara Petersen, Marcia Plancon, and Marty Roderick have painted or decorated this year's beautiful lunch boxes for your pleasure. Some boxes will contain prize cards.

Alan Ahtow, Maureen O'Hara Petersen, and Dorothy Wandruff have collaborated to produce a delicious lunch experience. Dine on the Art Center's Avery Deck, where you can relax and enjoy your lunch, or take it with you. Boxed lunches are $20 and orders must be placed by June 10th.

Evening Reception, June 13
This year the Garden Tour will be held on Mendocino's popular 2nd Saturday when art galleries in town hold artist receptions. Continue your great day of entertainment at the Mendocino Art Center, 5 pm to 8 pm. Hobnob with the exhibiting artists, nibble snacks, sip wine, and view the new gallery exhibits!

Garden Tour Poster Artists Retrospective
During the month of June, the Mendocino Art Center's Main Gallery will feature the artwork of Garden Tour poster artists, including Sunshine Taylor, E. John Robinson, Evie Wilson, Marion Bush, Janis Porter, Nancy Collins, Erin Dertner, Hope Stevenson, Patricia Martin Osborne, Paula Gray, Helen Reynolds, Julie Higgins and Hilda Pertha.
